  • Advance the public knowledge of the historical and architectural importance of heritage buildings and sites on Young Avenue by conducting research in this matter and by disseminating the results of such research;
     

  • Educate the public about the value and the conservation of one of Nova Scotia's most beautiful avenue's heritage and historic places through social media, historical dissemination and meetings;
     

  • Aim to preserve and protect homes and landscape which are recognized as historical sites by the Department of Canadian Heritage, Parks Canada or an appropriate provincial or municipal authority;
     

  • Gift funds to qualified donees, as described in subsection 149.1 (1) of the Income Tax Act, to advance knowledge of or preservation of buildings and sites of historical significance;
     

  • Save Young Avenue advocates for better development, historic preservation, and educate both public and governments on the development process.
